Hello,
I am analyzing the capacity of a cinder concrete floor slab for a commercial building located in New Jersey. A core sample was taken and it was determined to be a 4 inch thick cinder slab with 2" of concrete topping with welded wire fabric located about 3/4" from the bottom of the cinder slab. The line wires were measured to be 1/2" in diameter and spaced 4" on center.
The owner does not have drawings for the build so I am trying to locate any documents for cinder slabs in order to determine the allowable occupancy load. The core was sent to a materials testing lab to determine the compressive strength of the slab.
If anyone has worked with this in the past and can offer guidance it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
