I am a new engineer, graduated last spring and started my career last fall(2012). I was recently given an in-situ weir to find out if it would handle the claculated flow Q from the drainage area. Q=1385.8 cfs

The weir:

Stationing(ft) 0+00 0+10 0+20.1 0+59.8 0+64.1 1+07.7 1+52.5 1+63.9 2+03.4
Elevation(ft) 288.8 288.05 286.4 286.4 287.1 287.2 287.4 288.3 288.8

I used the cipolleti weir calculation (4v:1h) on this problem. I seperated the weir into three different weirs and then totaled their flow about Q=1382cfs.

Did I approach this logically or is there another way (better way) to do this. Thanks for any input.
