hello evryone

I am still using R14 and i need to get a series of circles to follow an elipse. they represent rivit detail on a drawing i am doing.

Any ideas on how i do this? its hgot me completly stumped. i have tried polar arrays but that only works in a circle not in an elipse. i can draw the elipse as a line, can i get the circles to follow the line?

If not can i do it in autocad 2006? (i am upgrading after christmas!)

Hi,

try "_divide" or "_measure"...

thanks for the prompt reply.

I have used measure before but not divide.

I will have a play tonight.

Using "measure" with the "block" option, where you use a block which consists of a circle, should get it done.

Measure is the answer. You could make a custome linetype....

Thankyou for all your help.

Measure worked fine.
Once again as with many things in autocad its dead easy once you know the command!
