Hi to all,

I would like to ask you a question about routine test of circuit breakers.

I have a Medium Voltage CB to do maintenance. I know how to do contact resistance test, but I checked all standarts and I coulndt find a percentage about approving " Did the test pass or no" .

Do you have any idea or a standard ?
By the way , I already have IEC62271-100 and IEC62271-200

Thanks

Air, gas, vacuum? Depending on the specific breaker type the OEM may or may not have published values. In absence of published values ANSI/NETA says that all 3 readings should be within 50% of the lowest reading.

I ve checked manuals but I couldnt find it.

And I look for general standard, I guess there should be be a percentage...not specific values.

Most medium voltage breakers have upper limit readings published. Otherwise the 50% higher rule applies according to NETA. What breaker are you dealing with? Man., Voltage, Catalog #?
