I have a cylinder, ID and OD, and I want to place the cylinder's part number on the face on the material that represents the difference between the OD and ID.

ProE has a feature where you can place text on a straight line; however, I need the text to be circular or follow a circular path. Any ideas??

Thanks for your help.

In WF2 you just pick the "place on curve" option when you create the text.

I don't know where this command is. When I have placed text on a part before, I created the text is sketcher and placed the text as a cut on the part's surface. This works as long as the surface is flat. In the part I am working on, the surface is flat but I want the text to follow a circular path around the center of the cylinder.

Can you explain to me the method you are talking about?

Thanks.

The "place on curve" option is just a check box inside the dialog box when you input the text in sketcher.
