This question is directed at anyone who attended/graduated from the California State University system with a degree in Civil. I'm interested in pursuing a masters degree with an emphasis on structural engineering. I've done the "normal" online research on the programs and course offerings of the various campuses, but I'd be interested in hearing the opinions of those of you who have actually gone through the program or those of you who did your bachelors but heard good or bad things about the schools masters program. I graduated from Cal Poly SLO, so right now that is my first choice, but I'm also looking at SDSU and SJSU as options. Opinions on ANY CSU would be appreciated though!

Thanks

If you went to Cal Poly, why would you consider SDSU or SJSU? I would think your BS would already be worth than their MS. I seem to recall a common destination after Cal Poly was U.C. Davis. The U.C. schools were always more geared toward research, but you probably already knew that. Other than proximity to "home" the only benefit I see to a CSU MS is if there is a connection with your desired field or employer. For example, I think SacState has a decent relationship with Caltrans.

why would you trade Pismo Beach for either Mission Beach or a one hour drive to Santa Cruz?

Why trade Pismo Beach for Mission Beach? Water temperature, for one...

the water is cold everywhere, but admit that the air temp is a bit warmer in san diego. but no parking and too many people at mission bay for my liking
