Bear with me, this is probably pretty basic, but I want to make sure that I understand the difference. Say you had aluminum plate that was rolled to a certain thickness. If you are asked to apply a T73, the plate is rolled to a certain thickness, you solution heat treat it, and two-step age it. If you are asked to apply a T7351, you would roll the plate, solution heat treat it, stretch it, then two-step age it.

The following is an excerpt from ANSI H35.1 / H35.1(M)-2006 American National Standard Alloy and Temper Designation Systems for Aluminum:

Stress relieved by stretching.
T_51 Applies to plate and rolled or cold-finished rod or bar, die or ring
forgings and rolled rings when stretched the indicated amounts
after solution heat treatment or after cooling from an elevated
temperature shaping process. The products receive no further
straightening after stretching.
Plate . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1½% to 3% permanent set.
