I am new to the forum; therefore, if any of my questions are "beating a dead horse," type questions, then appologies to all.

Questions:

1. Roughly/Ball Park number, how long does the it take to get a CLOMR in hand from the day the report and MT2 forms are sent. I went throught the LOMR process years ago, but this was to take an unstudied stream and add it to the county's FIRM and it took about 12 months to get the LOMR. This project is a proposed bridge crossing and I'll have to submit as-built model to get the LOMR.

2. I've heard/read on this and other forums about guidelines and specs for what I'm assuming is for FEMA submittals. Other than the MT2 forms, is there any additional info out there to help stream line the process?

Thanks.

I would say easily 6 months and as much as 12 months to have the CLOMR returned. A lot will depend upon getting all of the required information to FEMA. Once FEMA issues you a clean "ACK", things generally progress towards completion.

I don't believe the process may be streamlined.

What do the acronyms stand for? CLOMR, ACK, MT2, FIRM, & LOMR.

civilperson - "What do the acronyms stand for?"

FIRM - Flood Insurance Rate Map
CLOMR - Conditional Letter of Map Revision
LOMR - Letter of Map Revision

For any others, just google FEMA and check out their site.

Thanks.

This makes me feel a little better about this. The main reason I asked is because I overheard someone say 12-24 months and was a little discouraged.......Flash

You are welcome Flash.

ACK stands for Acknowledgement Letter. Once you send everything to FEMA including the fee you will receive your first ACK letter. This letter just says "we have your stuff and we will begin our inventory of your stuff". If FEMA has everything they need "which almost never happens" you will receive another ACK. This is the "Clean ACK". The clean ACK basically says, "We have your stuff, everything appears to be here, we are going to begin our technical review".

The 6-12 months is based upon the time after you receive your clean ACK.
