I would like to make a complete copy of an assembly and all of it's components and have all these files in one folder. I also want this copy to have ABSOLUTELY not connection to the original assembly and children from which it was created. Is the "cloning assemblies" a safe tool to use for this purpose. I do not have teamcenter. I am used to using Solid Edge and copying assemblies using revision manager.

Just an FYI, my assemblies are very simular in structure, excluding job number, geometry, so i have created a "blank" assembly with job number 0000. When i start a new job, I will clone this assembly with renameing the 0000 to <new job #>. Saves abit of time, and keeps prt based settings staic.
