Hello all,
I've learned on my own to edit the tcl files (in the "tool_path" subfolder) in order to customize/debug the CLSF generation on NX 1942.
Thanks to the tcl wiki site, I have understood the tcl principles but I'm now limited by my not understanding the global process of the generation :
- How and when do the events rise ("start of program", "first move", ...)?
- What are the TCL (and other types?) files involved in the whole process, (other than those in the folder "tool_path")?
- What does "MOM" mean?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Thierry

If I remember from my UG/Post training, MOM = Manufacturing Operation Method

There is a NX/Post Builder module that will interactively edit the TCL files behind the NX/Post.
It is a lot easier than editing the TCL files themselves.

Most of those events are generated by the toolpath in NX. UG/Post understands the syntax and applies rules to the event trigger to create the NC machine code file.

I think this module is not free, and is actualy an built-in postprocesor.
What I use is the CLSF generator (available in the manufacturing module), which generates a CL file. This file must then be treated by an external postprocessor to create the NC program.
