What products are recommended to fill a vertical crack in a wall. Crack is max 1/16" thick, and appears to be thru the face shell.

Hilti or Simpson make a good system?

Why are you filling it? Is it aesthetic? Structural capacity? Corrosion of reinforcing? Are you going to paint over it?

Its more just to close it up. Its interior. The owner seemed concerned, and I figured epoxy over just caulking it to paint it would be a better option.

Injection resin (typically low viscosity epoxy from Sika, Chemco, BASF etc) will go every where - it will be a mess. I know from past experience.

Rout and seal, or caulk it.

When would it be ideal to epoxy a crack, vs just covering up? Wouldn't the epoxy offer some additional strength?

Unless the wall is solid grouted, I am not sure how you could fill a crack through the face shell without essentially filling the entire cell. You may have to grind a V-groove into the block that is large enough to accept a backer rod. If its not a structural crack, you could probably just parge coat it with mortar or fill it using a grout bag.

Its a load bearing wall. The crack starts about 2' bealow the bearing, gets a bit wider at the middle of the wall, and then closes up. Its not a retaining wall, and the crack is vertical.

I am assuming its solid grouted because its below a bearing support. Hopefully.

Often repairs are more noticeable that just leaving the crack.

Rather than think climate change and the corona virus as science, think of it as the wrath of God. Feel any better?

Paintable caulk if you are going to paint it.
