Hello,

I am making a RAM model that I need to model in a CMU wall for. I read online it is more accurate to use the "other" option instead of a concrete wall. When going into the other option it asks for the properties of CMU. One of the properties is the modulus of elasticity.

The equation for E for CMU = 900 (f'm).

I can't seem to find a good answer for what a typical value of f'm would be.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Recommended for you

CMU strength is usually between 1500 psi to 2000 psi. Considerably higher strengths can be obtained at a premium, but, for 'run of the mill' type construction the compressive strength will be slightly above 1500 psi.

I understand, what is f'm typically with the combination of the grout and the block?
 
No, not grout - f'm is the compressive strength of the combination of the mortar and block in an assembled condition.
