I'm reviewing calculations for perimeter cmu wall embed plates connecting a continuous angle to a roof deck. The embed plates are designed to transfer lateral forces to the walls. Each plate has one row of two headed stud anchors. The equations used are the following:

Ap = Pix((Lbolt)^2) + 2(sqrt(2)xLbolt)xSpacing

Tension:

B(A Masonry) = .5xApx(sqrt(f'm))

B (A Stud) = .2xAbxfy

Shear:

B (V Masonry) = 350^(1/4)x(sqrt(f'mxAb))

B (V Stud) = .12Avxfy

Does anyone recognize these equations and if so, can you please tell me what reference I should be using to check them?

Thanks guys. Now for Ap, do you know why he is using a two-part equation? Obviously I see the pi(Lb)^2 form the ACI Code, but I still don't know where he is getting the 2(sqrt(2)xLb)xspacing from. For a two-stud embed plate I think Ap would just be 2x(pi(Lb)^2) minus the projected overlapping area, if any.
