I am looking for some software to size cold formed Cee's & Zee's. Does anyone know of any?

I have used the LGBeamer program and am very happy with it. It is easy to use.

COEngineer:
Have you used the software from the steel network? I have a copy of it, but never installed it. From the documentation I received it appeared to be a "trial version" that was only operational for 30 days, so I never bothered to install it.

If you know the manufacturer you want to use, some will send you a program to use their materials if you are a designer. Not all. I got one from Scafco. Can't hurt to ask...

marcbSE, to be honest we hardly every specify light gauge framing. But I did have a project that had to use that so I went to that website and ordered the catalog for future use. Someone gave me a call and told me they will also send me the software for free with 2 years of subscription. Free stuff is always good.

Never, but never question engineer's judgement

STAAD Pro has some cold formed shapes in it; buts' its a limited quantity.

Clark-Western has a free software for sizing light gage steel. Real easy to use and convenient.
