Good morning all,
I'm looking for a colored passivation of 15-5ph, someone is familiar with it?
Is there a standard referring to?
My personal best regards

Do you mean electro-chemical tinting?
I have seen it done on austenitic alloys, but not PH grades.

Hi EdStainless,
yes I mean electro-chemical, about austenitic tintingcan you suggest some references or spec?
My personal best regards

There are places that successfully created variable thickness in the chromium oxide layer to create a colored appearance (I assume in much the same way that Titanium is anodized), but that also means it will be very thin and therefore the cosmetic properties susceptible to abrasion.
