I’m working on Glycol (TEG) dehydration package where I need to size the absorber and still column-reboiler type. In addition to that, I need to size a Sour water-stripping column. For all the columns, I need to select the internals.

When we can go for Trays, packed bed and structured packing in a column.

Really, appreciate YOUR help on this to select the internals.

May I know advantage and disadvantage of using those three types of internals in a column?

Kind Regards
Pons

big topic to discuss. You need to select internals based on cost, at least I do. I then use some Engineering Wisdom coupled with business development or resivoir engineers input on wether I need more turndown or turnup in the future. Then I select wich option is best.

Probably your best option is to approach Koch-Glitsch, Sulzer, or ACM and discuss your application with them. dcasto is right - this is a huge topic.
