I have been told by a friend about some demonstration where sonic virbrations were used to improve combustion.

Has anybody heard of this, and if so, what is this called? I would like to learn more about this, if it is true.

Infrasonic soot blowers are used in boilers but only reduce fouling/improve heat transfer, not assist combustion.

Ultrasonic (piezo-electric) injectors are now used on primarily diesel engines. See other thread on this discussion.
