Hello,

I am looking at the possiblity of using the egg waste ( containing egg shells and liquid eggs) as a biomass fule in a mini co-generation (CHP) plant.

The volume is 40000 eggs per day.

Would anyone know the amount of residue left in burning a whole egg, and how much energy would it provide?

Thanks & Regards

I would think it has far greater value as a poultry feed. Due to the high water and ash content the net energy value would be low.

Yes, I am also evaluating that option.

I need to get in touch with companies who are willing to buy our waste eggs either with egg shells or without.

Do you know of any such companies?

Thanks

Egg shells are a valuable part of poultry feed. Contact a feed company or the poultry operation from which you get the eggs.

Take a sample and sent it to a lab. If the TOC of your sample is bigger than 100,000 mg/L, it is good ass fuel.

Thanks Shayar.

I was going in for a claorometry test, and then doing the energy balances for the viability of the idea.
