There are many ideas based on common knowledge and general theories of what steps to follow when installing an EMA system. I am looking for published standard steps that will give general guidelines on how to install the mechanical components and then how to evaluate the common methods of making sure all controls are working before allowing the units to be fully commissioned.
In general a broad step by step will be great that is along the lines of
Step 1- align all guides, Step 2 secure all fasteners, Step 3 (without the unit being under load)actuate and make sure the overtravel limits are working correctly, Step 4 ensure that all controls (amp control, encoders, safety switches are processing correctly, Step 5----, Step 'n'.... Watch and listen, etc.
Are there any general publications or IOMs from third parties that are available on-line or in Machinist Trade Books? Searching ASME, etc is like searching through a library where they threw all of the publications on the floor and you have to search each one individually.
Any ideas?!!!!
Thanks,
