Form Energy Reveals Iron-Air 100 Hour Storage Battery
Boston-based Form Energy has been diligently working on an iron-air battery. This week, the company said its first commercial product is a “rechargeable iron-air battery capable of delivering electricity for 100 hours at system costs competitive with conventional power plants and at less than 1/10th the cost of lithium-ion.

Sadly with zero information of use to understanding what they're doing. No indication of the actual chemistry, the efficiency, the reversibility etc.
 
I couldn't find any mention of how they are regenerating the "water-based electrolyte". I'm guessing they are collecting the hydrogen off-gassing from the rusting process and then intend to ignite it to produce water again? The article makes it sound like they are just planning to cycle air through it to produce rust, but rust forms from moisture in the air, not gaseous oxygen.

Perhaps I missed some of those details though.

They are using oxygen reduction cathodes, without doubt. So the relevance of "rusting iron" here is questionable.

The suppression of H2 is a major issue. H2 generatiou would be detrimental to efficiency.
