Component array - how to properly constrain?

I have an assembly which contains multiple copies of the same part, equally spaced in one direction. I figured an associative Component Array would be the appropriate thing to do, so I entered the, number of copies, the direction vector, and the spacing. The resulting array is correctly positioned.

What bothers me is that apart from the first component (which I fully constrained) the array components are not constrained. I can reposition them at will. If I re-edit the array parameters, they pop back to their assigned positions, but it seems like they should not be repositionable. Is this a known, correct behavior?

This is a known behavior, however there is a project proposed for NX 7 by which it is hoped to consolidate into a single data structure with a common set of behaviors and procedures covering ALL 'array' type requirements in NX, be they of objects, features or components. As this projects matures, we will try to report on the progress as it's being made.
