Hi,
I would like to learn about landing gear maintenance so i was checking on web if there is place where i can buy any landing gear (main & nose) CMM of a commerical/business airplane for knowledge purpose.
I am not specific to any landing gear supplier.I don't own an aircraft. Please help.

Here ya go!

If you are looking for public domain, or "free", I don't think you'll have much luck.

The MFG doesn't want every guy with a tool box "overhauling" their components in the field, and with good reason.

Essco sells as cheap as anyone out there, much cheaper then the MFG, but the material may not be current.

OK for training & familiarization, I suppose.....

Hi;

I am new in this forum and this will be my first message here.

I see that you dont search for a specific landing gear component maintenance manual. But if you would like to perform any action on components which are installed to aircraft, you should get approval to do that from many agencies such as FAA, EASA, etc. If you would get the approval, you can issue only their forms such as 8130-3 FAA, Form One EASA, etc.

The only way to learn is to work for one of component maintenance centers as interim or roster engineer. beleive me, you will not be educated by looking in CMMs. It is up to you anyway.

CMMs are only released by manufacturers. For instance, Boeing is producting their own landing gears and they have the CMMs which can be revised in advance.There is only one way to get CMMs for landing gears. This is what you should be owner of component.

Go to that link i posted. For less then 100 American dollars plus shipping, you can buy any Goodrich (and others) CMM they have in stock.

Thank you truthefence for the link which is very useful for me.
