I encounter some problems in NX7 when I try to add a component in an assembly. Could anyone please help me?

1. Every time the preview window is displayed less than half (I have a photo attached). I've run through the costumer defaults and the ugii_env.dat many times to try and rearrange the position of the window but couldn't find something.

2. When you have finish adding a component and you try again to add the same component you have to select it all over again from the "Add Component" window. It would only need to hit the MB2 in NX3 in order to select the same component. This is very annoying.

Thanx,

Kdiomedes

My NX-7 is doing nothing of the sort, but looking at your attached image it is just a matter of grabbing the frame with your mouse and dragging the preview window orign into view. At worst you'll have to do so once per session.

Yes, I also see that problem, even in NX 7.0.1.7. However, it appears to have been fixed in NX 7.5.

As for your second issue, if you know that you're going to be adding more than one instance of the same component, when the 'Add Component' dialog is open, go to the section labeled 'Replication' and set the 'Multiple Add' option to 'Repeat after Add'. Then you won't even need to press MB2 after placing a Component as it will continue to prompt you to place duplicate components using whatever was selected as your 'Positioning' option.

Thank you both for the replies. The 'Multiple Add' option works fine for my needs, I even initiated it from the customer defaults.

As for the first issue, it seems that I cannot do something to prevent it from happening.
