We are running with two bundles of NX. One is the Advance Designer and the other one is MACH 3. I am noticing when hovering over an assembly with multiple components they will highlight using the MACH 3 license and when using the Advance Designer License I have to actually pick the component with my mouse to have it to be highlighted. Can someone explain... is there suppose to be a difference in operation between Licenses.

My best guess is that your selection filter is set differently between the two modules.

With the settings in preferences they are set the same. I am trying to remember where the system did act like you had to pick it first before the part would be highlighted. I am thinking NX2. With these tailored bundles I been told that they are bundles of less operative operations or another words a piece of software just to get buy on the cheap side. These are bundles that are not supported to help save money. With that said I am just wondering if anybody remembers when you had to pick the component first before it highlighted. I think there was... Where you would put your mouse on the part until 3 little squares came up so you could start digging through the part till you found the parts/part you needed to be highlighted to make your work part. Again parts are not highlighting when I move the mouse across the assembly I have to literally stop on the part and click with the mouse to highlight then do a third mouse button to make work part.

Are you experiencing this on the same computer or on two different computers ?
I would guess that it's two computers, and that the one without highlight, the graphics card / driver needs to be checked.
Is this computer running a certified Graphics card ?
Is this computer running the recommended Graphics driver ?

To my knowledge, there are no such options / differences in the license-mechanism.

Tomas
