Does anyone know a good reference for transformed section properties of a concrete filled HSS? I know the LRFD manual gives design values for compressive loads. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Unless somebody else has a better option, I have two ideas:

1. Look in the AISC DG on composite columns. I don't know if those are included, but they might be.

2. The AISC Manual gives tables of phiPn as you mentioned. At the bottom of the table is a value called Pe(KL)^2/10^4. I think you can use Pe=pi^2*EI/(KL)^2 to back out the moment of inertia.

I didn't mention it, but my idea #2 would work if they were round also.

Also, for rectangular, the transformed MOI calc should be borderline trivial, so I'd probably just take a shot at that if nothing else.
