Good day...

Can I figure out the horse power and/or tonnage rating of a compressor through its model no.??...

Example:

We had a one Unit Compressor
Brand: Copeland
Model: EAA1-0150-TAC

This compressor is about a 15year old...I'm just wondering what its capacity...though their is someone told me it is 1.5hp.. because of the figure "0150" on its model number..does it correct???

Thanks!

Recommended for you

1.5 HP, 338 CFH at 1750 RPM, 208/230 3 phase and it uses L-502 refrigerant (?? low temp refrigerant of some sort?)

That took 5 seconds to google and another 10 to look through first result.

I finally got it...that compressor is really a 1.5Hp compressor..the second figure of its model number is its motor rating capacity..thanks
