Hi,

I'm a chemical process engineer, and I work with systems that have multiple control loops and interlocks for many different types of equipment (pumps, compressors, flow control, etc.). Normally, sorting through the logic and interlocks for these systems is quite a task, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good programs where I will be able to enter the system logic quickly and easily and then test to make sure that the interlocks in place will cascade properly to the correct pieces of equipment.

Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would think you would have a process flow diagram already.

I would take the verbage to a spreadsheet
1st column process flow diagram box
2nd column drawing interlocks for this process flow
3rd column drawing control loops for this process flow
4th column programming in this processor for this function
5th column other programming in other processors, etc ...

I am sure there are others out there.

Shameless self promotion, but that is exactly the sort of thing you can do with a ControlDraw model.

Seption,

Are you using a vendors software? Most of the time your vendor will give you a copy for your laptop/computer and then you will be able to simulate your logic before implementing
