Hi Folks,

I have encountered with a regular situation for many but unique situation for me . I have a continuous concrete floor beam that is cutting/bearing perpendicular to the concrete wall's length direction , and another concrete beam connected to the continuous concrete beam so in a sense continuous beam and the other beam are bearing at the end of the concrete wall. The bearing area is in this case is the width of the beam multiplied with the thickness of the wall. Due the high bearing, the characterisctis bearing pressure of the concrete wall is not handling the reaction force coming from the beams. I do not want to increase the grade of the concrete.
What would you suggest to tackle this bearing problem ?
Looking forward to opinions and suggestions..

Is the bearing capacity of the beam itself adequate? If so, are you saying that the wall and beam are built with different strengths concrete. If that is the issue, you may get some benefit from an Abm/Awall size bonus, if your code allows.

You might introduce an enlarged column at the end of the wall.
