Concrete shear wall design

I am working on a one story residential concrete structure. This is my first concrete structure and I am looking for a good reference or two to help in my design. I am particulary interested in lateral design of the structure as there are a lot of openings, so the shear wall segments are relatively short in most cases. Any suggestions, on references or on concrete structure design, are appreciated.

Reinforced Concrete A Fundamental Approach 6th Edition by Nawny is a good basic reference with flow charts for design (it references ACI318-08)

Also "Simplified Design of Reinforced concrete Buildings" by PCA is a good overview for simple concrete structures and gives you an idea of how to design buildings with out the aid of a computer (unless you are using 'sway frames' which they don't cover at all, a big disappointment to me).

For earthquake 'research' on lateral systems check out FEMA 451 design examples. It is a large document but they have a section on concrete.

SEAONC puts out 3 volumes of seismic design reference manuals. One of them is on steel and concrete structures. It is probably a good reference to have.
