Concrete water channel crack control

I'm looking for a "best practices" type recommendation. I'm designing a couple of rectangular concrete water filtration tanks with rectangular concrete open channel supply and return channels. My longest uninterrupted straight run for the tanks is 30' and 42' for the channels. Wall height is 7'. The bottom of the tanks and channels is elevated 2' to 3'. The tanks and channels will not be lined. I'm using PVC water-stop at cold joints, and Xypex in the mix. For crack control, I'm considering three options; a. reinforce per ACI 224R-01; b. use a shrinkage reducing and compensating admixture in the concrete, c. place control joints at 15' on center +/- in the walls and floor, with PVC waterstop at the joints. Does anyone have experience with this type of structure and a recommendation for most effective approach?

Don't forget ACI 350.

I'm not sure about crack control joints. Perhaps some strategic expansion joints with EJ waterstops.
