Consider air conditioning only the occupied space. Rather than using a jet diffuser at high level, supply all the air at lower level as in displacement ventilation systems, return at high level. Avoid mixing into the high space.

If you are set with a mixed air system, try looking at Swirl diffusers for 5+m high ceilings. These whirl (subtly) the air stream, and can be adjusted to sweep the airflow more downward compared to a typical diffuser which tries to coanda the air horizontally. You can be assured of supplying the lower occupant zone.

hi CinciMace what is the displacement ventilation systems?? is the playing area should be conditioned?
thanx again

Be careful if the indoor stadium is for games like shuttle badminton. The draft from the air-conditioning grilles/diffusers can play havoc with the flight and movement of the shuttle.

guys i need ideas how can i make load cal. for the playing area ?

i want to use inclined duct parallel to the inclination of the seat and use air nozzles directed to spectators ill use return grills at the low level of the staduim?
any one knows or saw any sample of indoor conditioned staduim please tell me any site etc...

thanx

You're going to have to do some search of ASHRAE volumes...this is not a simple question and it has no simple answer.
