Hello,
I need to connect ceramic (aluminium oxide) tubes to a flexible tube (right now I have PTFE and PFA, but I'm open to other suggestions). The method I use currently is to fit the ceramic tubes in the flexible tube (the ID of the flexible tube is slightly smaller than the OD of the ceramic tube) and use some kind of adhesive in addition. This method is working, but I'm looking for something more reliable as it seems non-professional.
Some additional info:
- To give you an idea of the dimensions the ceramic tube I have right now are OD of 1.6mm and ID of 0.79mm.
- Pressure is around 5 bar but most of the time the system it is not pressurized (it's pressurized for max 1min)
- I'm open to any suggestion of "bendable" tube, but it needs to be able to go to "high temperature" (as high as I can get, I don't really have a number as the rest is designed around that).
- That high temperature is never encountered more than 10s, the rest of the time it's at ambient temperature.
Any suggestions are welcome
