Connecting multiple lines into one line string element

Using Microstation v8 XM Edition. I'm having trouble connecting contour lines which have been broken and now i want to join them back into one element rather than multiple elements. I'm avoiding using the complex chain tool because I need the line type to only be line strings and one feature, not grouped.

how to draw fastly a huge of point data in microstation by mdl?

only fast way I know..in microstation is
you have to rebuild the contour file by creating a dtm in Inroads.. then remake trh contours in 3d and create the text lables too if you want.
other way is to save as autocad then ask acad guys to repolygonise the whole selection I belive this makes all the ends join up so you endup with complex chains ...
