Dear All,

Have you got any idea of floor slabs and RCC walls connections?
I think during EQ stresses are generated due to lateral force near the connection between the floor slab and RCC wall.
I am designing PH where RC wall is connected with floor Slabs.RCC wall width is very high with respect to the slabs.
I think due to the high width its deflections will be negligible however I want to check the stresses.
If force transfer occurred during deflection then slab thickness near the connection might be less and failure might occur (my assumptions.) Thus is there any code provision or reference for determining the thickness of slabs near the connections.

To my knowledge the thickness of the slab near the connection is determined by satisfying the applied flexural, one way and two way shear stresses as per the applicable code combinations.
Now, if your concern is seismic loads, you should indicate the LFRS and the design code you are using.
In CSA standards, if the LFRS is shear walls then you must satisfy the requirements of elements non part of SFRS (the slab) for deformation compatibility requirements. I think other codes will have similar approach.

It's not clear to me what you meant by "RCC wall width is very high with respect to the slabs. "

Often a detail of construction and the floor slab is cast through the wall with the slab being 'clamped' between the wall above and below. Also depending on the sequence of construction, a keyway is cast into the wall and the slab is cast into the keyway... depends on how the contractor wants to do it.
