Someone please tell me in which British standard i can get the charts and tables used in designing a concrete mix, for example:

CCS 4: Relationship between compressive strength and free-water/ cement ratio.

CCS 1: Approximate compressive strength (N/mm2) of concrete mixes made with a free-water/cement ratio of 0.5

CCS 2: Approximate free-water contents (kg/m3) required to give various levels of workability.

CCS 5: Estimated wet density of fully compacted concrete.

etc.

Thanks in advance.

from a reply in another web site:

Concrete mixes will be standard mixes given in BS5328 and is specified by its required performance in terms of a strength grade. Mix proportions for standard mixes given in table 14 are based on the use of cements of standard strength classes 42.5 or higher.

Look of Neville's Book on Properties of Concrete or Neville and Brooks Concrete Technology - they go into various design methods.
