Hi everyone,

i am guessing many of you will recognize this phenomenon and maybe wrestle with it to some extent. In the company I work at we have a small team working with Catia v5 / SmarTeam. Everyone has his or her own way of doing things, which makes it hard or at least inefficient to for example update someone else's work. I am wondering about ways to try and line up the members' ways a little bit more. Now we could off course just sit down with the team and make a bunch of agreements, but I suspect this problem has been more or less improved many times before, so rather than reinvent the wheel I would like to ask if anyone knows of any documentation dealing with this.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Thanks!
Mark

I did that for 20+ years, and one day decided that if nobody wants to get on board with best practices, and the following of design standards, that I'd just blaze myself a trail into KBE and automation, and take the choice right out of their hands. And that's exactly what I did.

You will NEVER get a group of people to adhere to standards and documentation. It's like we think we're all a bunch of artists.

Thanks guys!

I am going to write some guidelines and will try and have my colleagues to comply to them as much as possible. Also, I have started to learn scripting, cool stuff!
