constraints in arrangements

NX6, i have an assembly with different arrangements and constraints, specific to some things in some arrangements and not in others, etc.
I'd like to somehow group the constraints to make it easier to edit, if i could drag and drop them in to an order that suits me that would be OK, or if i could name them in the "component name" column, as you would parts in the assembly.
Can anyone suggest anything?
Also it would be nice to be able to click on a component in the assembly, and it would highlight any constraints on that part.

There is NO concept of an 'order' to Constraints since they are solved simultaneously (meaning that they are NOT order-dependent). As for naming Constraints, the best that you can do is add a 'name' as a suffix or appended text to the current name.

As for highlighting Constraints based on a Component, with the Assembly Navigator 'pinned' open, go to...

Assemblies -> Components -> Show and Hide Constraints...

...set the 'Visible Constraints' option to 'Connected to Components', then using the cursor select the Component of interest (either from the screen or the Assembly Navigator) and hit 'Apply'. Now looking at the Assembly Navigator you will see the related Constraints highlighted. If you toggle ON the 'Filter Navigator' option in the Show and Hide Constraints dialog, then the only constraints shown will the related ones.

And if you select the 'Between Components' option and select 2 Components, when you hit 'Apply' only the Constraints BETWEEN those 2 components will be highlighted/shown.

thanks John that's very helpful.
Is there a way i can make the constrains display and highlight in a different colour than the default, grey and orange,(or increase their size so they show up bigger), as when i look for a constraint or pick a constraint i have a job finding it in the assembly ?

There's no options for altering the manner in which Constraints are highlighted.

Note that we're working on several enhancements which will make it easier in future releases to organize and identify the relationships between components and their related constraints. While there's nothing currently being considered relative to using color to highlight constraints, we're sure that the changes which we're making will help significantly to manage and understand how your assemblies are being constrained.
