I have simulated a simple contact - ball and plate. Contact is in one point and i have got nice results. But when i wonted to include
motion in one direction in the new step i stuck with error msg.
I tried to increase number of min.time increment, different formulation of contact, but all without success.

Any tip would be helpful
Thanks

this is msg. file:

hi

ABAQUS explicit or implicit, try to apply a force instead of velocity. It looks you have to allowed one one direction for motion, becose it is overcontrained, try to do that in step2. Check your model. thax for reply.
