Aug 31, 2006 #1 HugoFr Bioengineer May 22, 2006 9 0 0 FR Hi, I'm trying to generate contact between 2 shells but when I ask a cncheck, Ansys says that I've got an initial penetration due to the shell elements' thicknesses. Is there a way to thicken shell element only in one direction? thanks in advance.

Aug 31, 2006 Thread starter #3 HugoFr Bioengineer May 22, 2006 9 0 0 FR I think the problem will be the same with shell93 elements since I need to impose a thickness. but there is probably a way so that the shell thickness does not alter contact solutions... Upvote 0 Downvote
