Hi All,

In precast beam-column moment connection, what are the best and economical methods to obtain the continuity of the bottom bar.

Thanks in Advance

I don't have enough experience with these systems to speak with authority with respect to what is "best and economical". I do, however, have a neat seismic design book by Englekirk, What is the level of seismic that your connection needs to deal with? If it's low, that'll probably open up other, more economical possibilities.

Likewise I have not done any moment connection precast frames to speak from experience but I saw this system proposed and thought it was pretty efficient and straightforward.

As KootK indicated, I suspect it really depends on your seismic criteria.
