Hi all the comunity
I have a problem to solve urgently .
I need to remove the carbon material adherent on cast iron pieces , I know the shot blast process but our client don't like this process due to the hight cost of maintenance for this machine.
They whish have a simply process without any consumable material and with a ligth cost of maintenance!!!
the rating load is 4 metric tons / hour with apparent density 2mt/m3.
I think we can use the principle of the collision between the thimbles into the drum. This action separates the carbon from the iron. The residues are discharged through small
openings along the surface of the drum, and the thimbles through the opposite side of the entrance. This is a continuous process, so there is no a storage silo for dirty thimbles, they are fed and discharge by means of belts
conveyors.

But I haven't any supplyers of this equipment , can you help me , it is very important for us .

Thanks

Here is one supplier of this type equipment. A lot of this type is being replaced with smaller tumbling blast equipment. Two other makers of this equipment I know are no longer in business.

Anecdotal:
Here is the unglamourous end to a CI tumbler where I started my career. This area was so noisy that to have a conversation you walked up and butted heads.
This is the smallest of 3.

First of all Thanks unclesyd

I will search in your direction , Didion is
perhaps the leader of a closed manufacturer of this equipment , but I hope having another challenger manufacturer , Only to improve and compare technology and pricing , and after sale services .

one more , thanks for your help and if I can give a hand , I will be very happy

General Kinematics makes a different type of product for casting cleaning that does not damage castings like rotary drums. The castings actually stay in the bed of sand, and the sand cleans the castings. The product has very few moving parts, uses significantly less energy than rotary drums, and is backed by terrific service and support. You can learn more about it at this link:
