Pennsylvania is contemplating requiring continuous modeling simulation for stormwater permitting. This is being advocated by Villanova University who is assisting in rewriting the stormwater management guidance document for PA DEP. Is hydro CAD looking to incorporate continuous modeling simulation in future versions of the software?

HydroCAD is designed as a single-event model based largely on the SCS/NRCS runoff procedure. We have no plans to add the capability for a continuous simulation at this time. Although a continuous simulation may have certain benefits for very long time spans, our focus remains on short-term analysis as commonly used for peak-flow analysis. Stormwater agencies that require a continuous simulation, regardless of its merits, will find the software options to be severely limited in comparison to single-event models.

Thanks Peter, we'll probably have to use EPA SWMM if this becomes a requirement.
