convert catia model to igs

i am running catia v5 r16

i want to translate/convert a .model file to an .igs file.

"save as" is greyed out.....can't find import/export....help is no help.

i am a catia newbie.....any guidance will be appreciated.

Hi ken, from the image I cannot tell you much, I guess just by the size of your file in mb you could tell what you have on your hands. I think we have more or less listed all the different ways you can import a V4 model into V5, without having the file to test it out for you there is not much else we can tell you.
What ferdo says has allways worked for me, although it depends, if I want other stuff to come with I copy the *master directly, like for copying the axis systems and other stuff.
It certainly does seem that you only have a drafting file, although whenever I've opened drafting files I don't get to see the part, just the drafts, so I'm a little stumped.

i am the middle-man here.....this isn't for one of my company's customers.....this is for one of our sister company's customers. i do not have direct contact with whom the file came from.

i will request a new file.
