Yes, most solids programs can read Parasolid, IGES, DXF, etc, but they will not retain any of the features as created in SW. It is up to the import module of Catia to do the coversion.

The Holy Grail of true conversion from one modeller to another is not available yet.

CBL - even once that Grail comes, I'm really doubting that it can incorporate each and every function from one modeler to the next - like design tables?

Well, solidworks can read Pro/E files with features but it doesn't always work, and sometimes the geometry doesn't match. Simple extrudes and revolves work well enough but complex lofts and sweeps do not. Sometimes there is not equilvalent feature or option for a feature there to recreate it.

So even in the future, I don't think there ever will be the ability read features reliably.
