Hi out there...

Does anyone of you know an EASY way to convert (or better: to Print to) a Searchable pdf File from microstation?
There are many tools out there but they all convert to Non-Searchable pdf's... (text is convertet into graphic)

Thank you for any Help!

I've only worked this out recently and it apears its been around for years..
Open the pscpc.plt for editing and down towards the bottom you'll se a section on font substitution.. you then sub the font you want to be searchable then print to file it will be a post script file ready for distiller to use..
to get better info look in ustn help under fonts..
The most bizarre place to find it is fonts.. i had look ed for ages under text and substitution and pdf..
I have not been able to make this work with big files over the network .. it just took forever so i thought it crashed but small files worked pretty good.
at home i only have pdf995 freeware it didn't like using th pscplt.plt
It can be done with your printer.plt make a backup and rename it pdf.plt and edit that.. it has the font sub in it too.. then perhaps you can get it to use those virtul pdf makers from the windows plotting..
Have fun..
