Hi,
I've a part created in the modeling environment.
I need to convert to sheet metal, but I'm not able.
The part is an old part and not made by me.
Solutions /ideas ?

Thank you...

The problem is not constant thickness. Try extracting external surface of your part, then thicken it (you will get new solid which will be aproximate to your original part). Then you will be able to convert it to sheet metal.
Another way (if you want to get flat pattern) is forming/flattening tools (these tools are available if you have advanced sheet metal license).

Hi eex23,
I tried to "extracting external surface of your part, then thicken it (you will get new solid which will be approximate to your original part). Then you will be able to convert it to sheet metal.", but doesn't work.
Are you able ?

Thank you...

With model topology like this (see image below) you will NEVER be able to convert it to a valid Sheet Metal model.

Hi eex23,
thanks for spending time, but I resolved recreating the part from zero.
This is another sample of what a CAD user can create bad modeling part.
This CAD user works with UG from a lot of time.
This is an example which the setting that I would uncheck will be helpful.

Thank you...
