Converting contour data from metric to imperial

Is there a way that a Civil 3D drawing can be converted back and forth between imperial and metric units? I'm working on a project for which all the survey data was provided in metric units, but my boss wants to work in imperial units. I would imagine construction docs will need to ultimately be in metric. My CAD expertise level is novice. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
