Converting IGES surface to a solid in Pro/E 3.0

I need to solidify an exported IGES file to analzye the part. I don't have much experience with surfaces, so I'm not too sure where to start. Thanks

By the way, all of the edges in the imported are magenta, which I guess indicates that all surfaces are connected. From what I've read I gues that I should just be able to click Edit - Solidify. Unfortunately, this option cannot be selected.

I guess it could still be possible for all of the surfaces to be connected and there still be gaps which would prevent it from finding an enclosed volume. I haven't used 3.0 but on an eariler version I would try the automatic and manual heal geometry options, especially the zip gaps, that usually seems to enable me to then make the part a solid.
A quick mass check on the model will tell you whether you have succeeded or not.

I never have much luck with IGES.

If it's possible, bring it in as a STEP file.

I don't know if I'm missing something, but shouldn't you thicken the surface?
