Hi there... I have a small query... if I have a 1/2" OD A-LOK Needle valve with 1/2" OD tube either side and want to adapt this up to 3/4" NB pipe what is the best method? I have 3/4" X 1/2" NB reducing inserts elsewhere in the system but you can't get NB to OD reducing inserts.

Cheers

Swagelok, Parker and the other tube fitting manufacturers make adapters to go from NPT pipe to compression tubing connectors.

Unless I'm missing something, A-Lok is just the Parker tradename for their dual ferrule compression tube fittings and per their website, they do have a wide variety of dual ferrule compression fittings that transition from NPT pipe to Tubing but strangely enough, they didn't have a 1/2" Tube to 3/4" NPT pipe straight adapter listed?

anyway Parker did have a bulkhead adapter fitting listed (I'm also sure Swagelok would have this adapter as well) that would do what you want although you don't need the bulkhead functionality:

Hmmm, I see the weblink doesn't work but the part number for the fitting I was trying to point you to is "8MBC12N-316" so you could do a search for this part number on the Parker website.

The Swagelok fitting for this is their "Straight Male Connector" part number: SS-810-1-12

Hi rneill - thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned that the next thing up my line is a 3/4" NB Tee... so I would then have to adapt from the 3/4" NPT(M) to some sort of 3/4" socket weld (male) piece. I phoned a company and they said they would just make a male socket weld to 1/2" OD reducer... job done - hahaha.

Thanks for your help anyway... much appreciated.

I like the website, first time I've used it - I don't know how I posted this thread in this section though, my mistake.
