Is there any way to create a solid body from sheet boundaries without having to create a dumb solid and use the surfaces to trim it?

I have tried use the sheets to solid assistant but it only seems to thicken the sheets. Is the functionality I'm looking for available to do this like with Solid Protrusion from quilt on Pro/E.

I would appreciate any help you could give on converting sheets to solids.

Look up the 'sew' operation in the help files. If the sheets enclose a volume a solid will be created.

Micheal :

Use the sew operation.
The sheet you are using should form a volume(closed entity with out any gaps in edges).
Then the sew operation will give a solid body.

Hi Michael,
If u want to convert the sheet body to a solid body of uniform thickness through out ,then use
Insert->From Feature-> Thicken sheet.

Faiz.
